Bike shipping

I am going to ship the bike to Ukraine ahead of time.

Here are some useful resources I have found so far:

• an article by Jim Forman on how to box a bike (using a factory shipping box);
• an article by John Meiners on how to make a sturdy (although quite heavy and large) bike shipping box/case/crate.

YouTube is full of videos that promise you to show how to disassemble and pack a bicycle for shipping. Unfortunately, most don't deliver on their promises. This two-part video by John Bain of Waterbear Cycles is the most useful I have found so far:
